Micro and industrial electronics
Microelectronics is concerned with the development and manufacture of miniaturized electronic circuits. As a carrier for electronic components, the printed circuit board consists of a large number of components made of electrically insulating material and conductive connections adhering to them. For this purpose, we build high-precision and individual drying systems in which assembled printed circuit boards with and without housing can undergo a drying or heating process during the manufacturing process, for example, during:
- Conformal coating for drying the protective coating
- Underfill process for drying the connection
- For coating and bonding of the housing
Circuit board manufacturing
MASS drying systems, coating systems and handling systems for manufacturers of printed circuit boards are offered as modular expandable system solutions in various layout concepts, depending on the requirements, the space situation and the type and quantity of printed circuit boards to be processed. Our high-precision via hole filling machines and vacuum chamber plugging (VCP) systems can fill holes in printed circuit boards with conductive or non-conductive paste. Through and blind holes are filled in one pass – also double-sided. For this market segment, we also manufacture coating casting machines for photosensitive solder resist, drying systems such as UV dryers, IR dryers, horizontal jet dryers, vertical dryers, dryers for final curing, and cooling and preheating lines. We also develop and produce centerers, turning stations, buffers and stackers for this customer group.
Automotive industry
For the manufacturing and supplying industry in the automotive sector – one of the most important industries worldwide – we develop and manufacture drying systems, thermoprocessing systems and handling systems. They are used for conformal coating, underfill processing or environmental simulations (hot test). Chemical activation processes (thermal pitch) and sensor applications can also be implemented with our highly customized and fully automated systems. Our systems for the automotive industry fit seamlessly into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) of these customers and take over the data recording – manually, semi-automatically and fully automatically.
Machinery and system engineering
We develop and build handling and plugging machines for mechanical and system engineering. Our Via Hole Filling machines are designed to fill holes in printed circuit boards with conductive or non-conductive paste. Through holes and blind holes can be filled on both sides in one cycle. We also manufacture drying machines for this target group; they are used, for example, in the field of film drying or for other customer-specific purposes. In addition to complete project management including development, design and commissioning, we also offer remote maintenance and online support here.
Aerospace and aerospace engineering
For the aerospace industry, we design and manufacture machines and systems that take into account the special requirements of this segment. From the idea to the finished product, we handle all steps of the process to ensure that our customers receive customized solutions of the highest quality. Our dedicated team of experienced engineers, technicians and specialists work closely with customers to understand their individual requirements and needs, develop innovative concepts on this basis and finally implement them in high-precision machines. The development of our special machines is carried out in compliance with strict quality standards and in consideration of the latest technological developments. From the choice of materials to the integration of state-of-the-art control systems, we think through all the details carefully and incorporate them into our developments.
Fuel cell production
The fuel cell is considered the future of the automotive industry, building technology, aviation, heavy industry and other sectors. The reaction of hydrogen and oxygen in a galvanic cell promises a uniquely ecological, transportable and storable way of handling electrical energy. We have developed a new furnace technology for fuel cell manufacturers. This involves the drying of electrically conductive screen printing pastes in fuel cell production, which promises maximum flexibility and productivity thanks to its modular design. The latest generation of the MT-Etaline series is specially designed for drying fuel cells in magazines after printing.
Battery production
The advance of the energy transition, with its focus on power generation from renewable energies, their use and storage, is also creating a growing need for energy storage systems. Normal batteries and rechargeable batteries come into play for e-mobility, in the household, industry and commerce, system infrastructure and for the production of hydrogen. In the temperature treatment of batteries, techniques are required during production that meet the highest safety requirements. For many years, our engineers, technicians and application experts have been using their knowledge and expertise for the benefit of the battery manufacturing industry to realize the best solutions for these customers. We have developed an oven technology for large-scale battery module production that is capable of heating and cooling batteries in a small space and at a high cycle rate, meeting the highest requirements in terms of scalability, reproducibility, accessibility, variability and traceability.
Paper and pulp industry
The pulp and paper industry is characterized by high demand and large production capacity. Companies in this segment must be able to produce large quantities of paper and pulp efficiently. This requires powerful machinery and systems, automated processes, monitoring systems and continuous process optimization to increase productivity and reduce costs. In addition, this industry faces the challenge of adapting to the changing demands of the market. The development of new paper grades or fiber materials requires continuous adaptation of technologies and innovations in order to remain competitive. For the pulp and paper industry, we design and manufacture thermoprocessing and drying systems for book spine drying and film drying.
Production of HVAC systems
The abbreviation HVAC stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. Ventilation and air conditioning systems ensure the desired air quality in the building through ventilation, air conditioning (heating and cooling), humidification and dehumidification of the air, filtration and heat recovery. For customers in this market segment, we manufacture very specific systems for the production of solid fuel cells (solid oxide fuel cells), control components and for power electronics. These systems are also modular in design and can be individually expanded.
Solar industry
Our customers in the solar sector are manufacturers of solar modules, especially thin-film solar modules. For this purpose, we build highly precise and individual drying systems in which the burning in of the screen printing ink onto the substrate can take place. These drying systems for solar modules have several separately controllable circulating air heating zones and a cooling zone. When designing drying systems for thin-film solar modules, we take into account the size and quantity of the solar panels to be dried.
Chemical industry
For our customers in the chemical industry, we develop and manufacture condensate reducers and dipping stations, which can be used to coat objects or materials with a coating. In this process, the part to be coated is immersed in a container with the coating liquid. By dipping and then pulling out, an even coating is created on the material. The chemical industry uses our machines and systems for lacquer casting, as well as for coating processes and roll coating for wet coatings.
