Scope of application and advantages of the drying system
The MASS vertical dryer VDH is designed for various applications in the drying of printed circuit boards, e.g. for drying and flash-off after coating, for thermobumping or for final thermal curing. The system of this drying system is space-saving and modular, inlet and outlet module can be extended with any number of drying modules, also various special solutions are possible.
This type of system works independently of the format of the printed circuit board and is even suitable for extremely thin material. Reproducible temperatures can be mapped onto the plates. Separate temperature monitoring and control is performed for each heating zone. Condensation is reduced as well as torsion or warping. The rate of energy utilization is good.
Mode of operation and structure of the drying system
The typical drying temperature of this system solution is 150°C. the drying system with its five heating circuits is suitable for various applications: Heating after coating works first on one side of the board, then the board is rotated 90 degrees and the other side is coated and then darkens. In thermobumping, both sides are coated, dried and UV-exposed in the same process. During final curing, one side of the PCB is first coated and dried, then the second side is coated and dried, followed by exposure and development.
Optionally, we offer the following options for this drying system: Centering, cooling unit, hold-down device for highly warped PCBs, controlled exhaust air, condensate separator, double track dryer and other special solutions.
